Their opportunities for inclusive play have been non-existent until
now. Able to Play was launched with a lead gift from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation of Battle Creek, Michigan to commemorate its 75th Anniversary. The National Center for Boundless Playgrounds® is leading Able to Play in collaboration with Center for Creative Play™.

Our Project
‘Any Bodies Playground’ is a Boundless Playground being developed in Battle Creek’s Bailey Park through the innovative Able to Play project. The goal of Able to Play is to create uniquely designed play environments where children with and without disabilities will be stimulated and have the opportunity to laugh, play, and grow together.

Any
Bodies Playground will make a positive difference in the lives of children,
instilling the values of inclusiveness and compassion while stimulating
their own creativity and the self-confidence that comes from personal
achievement.

Community
Over 30 organizations and municipalities, and dedicated individuals
are collaborating to make Any Bodies Playground a reality. Bailey
Park was selected from 27 possible locations because it is already
a destination point for family fun offering picnic areas, volleyball,
shuffleboard and ball games. It also has easy access to the popular Linear
Park pathway.
Children and adults, with and without disabilities, from toddlers to grand-parents are participating in the planning and design process to assure that Any Bodies Playground truly is designed for “fun”.
